Also, please prepare 3 stories to share: (please note your own personal story will be something that will be worked on more in class). Bring a note book and pens and pencils to make sketches, write down poetry, ideas and a script as part and parcel of the storytelling process.

1 story is already written: (sharing tradition, history and a lesson) 1 will be a fable, or parable from literature, Islamic fables, cultural fables (something short and can bring a photocopy)

1 story is someone else’s but not written/told yet: (advocacy, social justice) 1 will be a story related to whose story would you like to tell because that person doesn’t have a voice to tell it themselves. It can be a person or people.

1 story is your own: start just asking yourself; what story about myself would I like to tell? A comedy? A tragedy? A bit of both? What story needs to be told? We will work more on our stories in class!
